Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking
July 23, 2016
When I saw this on the shelf, I knew I had to read it (I mean, I already love psychology books, so I was biased). But as an introvert, this book spoke volumes to me (so many book jokes). Every page I read felt like it was common sense, but that's only because it rang true. Quiet taught me things about how my brain works, how other peoples' brains work and how we can interact with one another in home, work and social situations better. Not only that, but it talks about what value you can bring to situations where you feel the extrovert reigns supreme. Both powerful and empowering, I give it top marks. Again, not a story, doesn't have a plot, as it isn't fiction. So if that isn't your thing, you might want to pass, but I found it very uplifting and helpful in understanding my world.
